About the Program

The Automotive Engineering study program in Electric Vehicles is aimed at preparing industry ready
specialists who are capable of developing productions ready, innovative technologies and various
transportation technologies for the 21 st century. The economic growth of the country depends of the
engineers whose work results in the innovation or improvements of various vehicle systems, technologies
and manufacturing processes. In our program we consider the impact of innovation and integration of
various technologies for synergy of operations. In this age, sustainability is the theme throughout the
program; thus traditional automobile engineering program has been upgraded with extensive modules of
Electric Vehicle Propulsion Systems and their associated educational modules. With the leaps and
bounds of development of materials, processes and technologies, the 21 st century transportation industry
is rapidly transforming from conventional combustion driven vehicles to clean electric mobility, and
through this program, our students become future ready.

  • Curriculum designed as per near future industry requirements.
  • Program tailored to produce self-managing specialists.
  • Learn from the Best Faculties & Mentors from the Industry.
  • Latest Integrated CAD/CAM systems and learning management system
  • Emphasis on learning by doing in a professional environment.
  • Top Ranked University with excellent campus and state-of-the-art infrastructure
  • 100% placement support*

Course Details

The first half of the course introduces the students to the technologies and engineering techniques which
are the fundamentals of transportation engineering. They will be taught all required Analytical
Calculations along with 3D modeling skillsets on Industry Leading Engineering CAD/CAM Platforms to
represent their solutions and analyze its feasibility. This includes drawing for design and modeling in
different materials and scaled sizes. The Second half is dedicated in live vehicle design development of a
concept car by students alongside senior industry professionals.

Course content features

  • Blend of idea generation skills, engineering skills for practical application through advanced
    manufacturing processes.
  • Focus on User-Centric Design (UCD) principles. Thus we will encourage the students to devise
original and creative solutions to design problems, supported by insight gained through
    engineering research.
  • This ideology culminates in a sustainable and selective use of materials and process to
acknowledge the need for efficiency in this challenging environmental and economic situation.
  • Our program strikes a balance between traditional established processes and emerging
technologies to make our students future ready.
  • Students will develop their skills in workshops for MDF and modeling foam, advanced techniques
using wax based styling clay and hand worked materials, while having access to laser cutting,
CNC, 3 and 5 axis Milling, rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
  • Within an industrial workshop environment, students will work on projects developed from real-life
scenarios, integrating knowledge of factors such as branding and forms following functions,
composites technologies, state-of-the-art vehicle components & systems to build their final year
    project Concept Car.
