About the Program

The Transportation Design study program in Electric Vehicles is aimed at preparing industry ready
specialists who are capable of developing productions ready, aesthetically pleasing, and economically
viable along with being ergonomically homogeneous transportation design for the 21 st century. The
economic growth of the country depends of the designers whose work results in the improvements to the
quality of life, technologies and manufacturing processes and not just how it looks and feels. In our
program, we consider the impact of human factors, branding, and design in context, design analysis and
manufacturing alongside classical product design activities. In this age, sustainability is the theme
throughout the program; we start by examining the impact of social, environmental and commercial
issues around product design, and the possibilities presented by new technologies and future concepts
before learning the skills of the transportation design program.

  • Curriculum designed as per near future industry requirements.
  • A program tailored to produce self-managing specialists.
  • Learn from the Best Faculties & Mentors from the Industry.
  • Latest Integrated CAD/CAM systems and learning management system
  • Emphasis on learning by doing in a professional environment.
  • Top Ranked University with excellent campus and state-of-the-art infrastructure
  • 100% placement support*

Course Details

The first half of the course introduces the students to the arts and sciences which are the fundamentals of
transportation design. They will be taught both 2D and 3D design skillsets to represent their design
intentions and analyze its feasibility, including drawing for design and modeling in different materials and
scaled sizes. The Second half is dedicated in live vehicle design development of a concept car by
students alongside senior industry professionals.

Course content features

  • Blend of idea generation skills, design skills for practical application through advanced
    manufacturing processes.
  • Focus on User-Centric Design (UCD) principles. Thus we will encourage the students to devise
original and creative solutions to design problems, supported by insight gained through design
    research.
  • This ideology culminates in sustainable and selective use of materials and process to
acknowledge the need for efficiency in this challenging environmental and economic situation.
  • Our program strikes a balance between traditional established processes and emerging
    technologies.
  • Students will develop their skills in workshops for MDF and modeling foam, advanced techniques
using wax based styling clay and hand worked materials, while having access to laser cutting,
CNC, 3 and 5 axis Milling, rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
  • Within a studio environment, students will work on projects developed from real-life scenarios,
integrating knowledge of factors such as branding and visual brand language, product semantics,
marketing principles, ergonomics, insight into Consumer/Clint needs, production processes and
    engineering.
