Sliding through the ribbons of silver,
Adolescent waters meander down the mountain folds,
Carrying visions of green grandeur
Over a silky sky desert.
It all started when,
From under the nurturing of the Tethys
The Himalayas once reached up to the infinite blue,
With cold cotton clouds laying bridges of shadows between its peaks,
And placed its eyes on the edge of the earth
To find entire worlds of water, on the horizon,
Rising and setting with the turn of the planet.
The sight of the ocean set in motion
The immortal winds of the highlands
Flying the mountain minds back to the memories of its ancestor sea
And the Himalayas, high on nostalgia,
Raised its rivers from the abodes of ice
And aimed them at the endless oceans
To deliver the tale of Tethys
From one god to another.
